Local artist, Helen Yates, spent Thursday and Friday in school working with children on the new mural for the playground.

After discussion with the children on her last visit, Helen has drawn a design that includes all of their ideas. Things that the children wanted including were the school building, the squirrel school logo, a tree and a rainbow. They also thought that the school values should feature in the mural too.

She worked with children from both classes on colour mixing and colour blocking the design drawn so far and stencilling the wording for the values.

It is looking great and we can't wait to see the finished mural before the end of term!
