Bringing Our School Community Together
The PTFA brings together parents, carers, staff, friends and members of our wider community, all working together to support our children and our school.
Everything we do is guided by the vision and values of Winmarleigh. Whether we are organising a fundraising event, planning a celebration or supporting a special school experience, our aim is always the same: to enrich school life and create happy memories for our children.
More Than Fundraising
Fundraising is an important part of what we do, helping to provide additional resources, experiences and opportunities for our children. However, our PTFA is about much more than raising money.
We help to organise events that bring our school family together and give our children experiences to remember. From our school Christmas party to taking part in the Garstang Children's Festival, these occasions help create the strong sense of community and belonging that makes Winmarleigh so special.
Our events also provide valuable opportunities for families to meet one another, build friendships and become more involved in school life.
Our Aims
Our PTFA aims to:
- strengthen relationships between home, school and our wider community;
- bring children, families, staff and friends together through enjoyable social events;
- support and enhance the experiences we can offer our children;
- raise funds for additional resources, equipment and projects that benefit pupils across the school;
- create opportunities for families to become involved in and contribute to school life;
- help create special experiences and lasting memories for our children.
Everyone is Welcome
You don't need to make a huge commitment to be part of our PTFA.
Whether you can attend meetings, help at an event, share an idea, bake a cake, sell a few raffle tickets or simply lend a hand for an hour, every contribution is valued.
Getting involved is also a lovely way to meet other families, get to know our school community and play a part in making our children's time at Winmarleigh even more special.
Many hands really do make light work – and new faces and new ideas are always welcome!
