Welcome to Winmarleigh Church of England Primary School
A small school with a big heart, where every child is known, valued and encouraged to shine.
Welcome to Winmarleigh Church of England Primary School. We are a small, happy village school on the outskirts of Garstang, where children are at the heart of everything we do.
Being a small school is one of our greatest strengths. We know our children. We know what makes them smile, what excites and inspires them, where their talents lie and when they need a little extra help or encouragement. Our close-knit, caring environment means children feel safe, valued and part of our Winmarleigh family.
We are incredibly proud of what our school offers. Our children enjoy a broad, creative and ambitious curriculum, enriched by sport, outdoor learning and a wide range of experiences beyond the classroom. Our wonderful outdoor environment gives children space to explore, play and learn, while our strong relationship with St Luke's Church helps place our Christian faith and values firmly at the heart of school life.
Our Christian vision, based upon Jesus' teaching to “love your neighbour as yourself”, shapes the way we learn, live and care for one another. We want every child to recognise that they are unique, precious and have something special to offer.
This is reflected in three simple words that run through life at Winmarleigh:
Enjoy. Believe. Achieve.
We want our children to enjoy school and develop a lifelong love of learning, to believe in themselves and one another, and to achieve the very best they can. Most importantly, we want them to leave Winmarleigh as happy, confident and compassionate young people, ready for the next stage of their journey.
Come and discover Winmarleigh
A website can give you a glimpse of our school, but the best way to get to know Winmarleigh is to come and see us for yourself.
Visits from prospective families are always warmly welcomed. Come and meet our children and staff, explore our school and see what makes our small school with a big heart such a special place to learn and grow.
Please contact Mrs Jennifer Cunningham, Headteacher, or our School Bursar on 01995 603006 to arrange a visit. We would love to welcome you.

Jesus said 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength.' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it 'You shall love your neighbour as yourself.'
Matthew 22:37-39
