Choosing the right school for your child is a big decision. You want somewhere they will be happy, feel safe and belong. Somewhere they will be known, encouraged and given every opportunity to flourish.
At Winmarleigh, we are a small school with a big heart.
Being small is one of the things that makes our school so special. We know our children as individuals. We know what makes them smile, what sparks their curiosity, where their talents lie and when they might need a little extra encouragement. Children of different ages know and care for one another, our staff know our families well, and there is a real sense of belonging to one school family.
At the heart of Winmarleigh is our Christian vision, inspired by Jesus' teaching to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbour as ourselves. It shapes the way we learn together, care for one another and encourage every child to recognise how special and valued they are.
Our simple promise to our children is captured in three words:

We want children to enjoy coming to school and develop a genuine love of learning. We want them to believe in themselves, in one another and in the possibilities ahead of them. And we want every child to achieve, celebrating their individual gifts, talents and successes along the way.
We want childhood at Winmarleigh to be full of experiences and memories: discovering something new in a book, learning and playing outdoors, making friends, asking questions, taking on challenges, celebrating together and sometimes getting things wrong before having another go. Alongside strong learning, we want our children to grow into confident, compassionate and curious young people who are ready for the next chapter of their lives.
